Jamaica joins OGP

Jamaica has become the 3rd Caribbean country to join the Open Government Partnership, following the Dominican Republic and Trinidad & Tobago. In a letter of intent signed by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, the country signalled its continued commitment towards greater transparency, accountability, public sector eficiency and the overall strengthening of Governance.
This important step follows on the launch of the Government of Jamaica's Open Data Portal earlier in 2016, and provides an important boost to the Open Data movement in the Caribbean. The community looks forward to the participatory process and substance of the Action Plan development to follow..
